Installation
- Where can I get the MobiCOP Application and How?
- You can download the MOBICOP application through online website i.e. <Onward Mobility website> onto your computer and then transfer it via PC Suite or directly download it on your mobile through GPRS.
- Is the MobiCOP application supported on all the phones? If No. Why?
- No, the MOBICOP application works best on the SYMBIAN BASED MOBILES.
e.g. Nokia S60.
- Should the application be saved on phone memory or memory card?
- You need to select Phone Memory.
- What is the storage size of MobiCOP Application?
- Approximately 450 KB.
- Why should I install in the Phone Memory?
- Because there is a possibility of memory card getting corrupted and also the application interacts with the phone’s hardware for its optimal functionality. The application won’t be on your phone if someone has taken your memory card.
- What if I want to install the same application onto my new handset?
- You can do so with the help of a new scratch code.
- Would the application be on the phone after the phone is formatted?
- Once formatted, the MobiCOP application gets uninstalled and you need to reinstall it with a new scratch code.
Registration
- How does the Registration help?
- Registration process is done on your mobiles IMEI No. It helps you to track your mobile when it is lost or stolen.
- What format do I use for entering the D.O.B?
- You can use either hyphen (-) or Slash (/) format for entering your D.O.B.
For Example: dd-mm-yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy.
- What is Server Number and how is it related to your application?
- The server number is the number of our secured database Server, where your phone gets registered as you enter your details. This process gives you a registration code through SMS by which your application gets registered and can be used.
- How do I know that I have been registered successfully?
- Once you’re registered, automatically the register option disappears from the application.
- I do not see any Icons in My Phone after the Application gets installed?
- As it is a hidden application and only can be seen after the default password or the changed password is entered on your phone screen.
Default Password is: #*1234
Features
- What data is saved in ‘Log’?
- In this option you will find all your outgoing and incoming recorded calls when the application is running in the background. This option stores the recorded data of your Dictaphone.
- What is Dictaphone?
- It is a type of voice recorder, where in meetings, conversations etc can be recorded without an indication on the phone that the recording is going on.
- Which Recording format needs to be selected?
- Recording Format is a type in which your recordings are saved. AMR needs to be selected
- How does Recording Format and sound Quality work?
- WAV and AMR are two the types of Recording Format. Low, Good and best are the three types of sound quality. Both work with each other’s support. - Wav Format works only if it is kept in a best Sound Quality.
- AMR format works with all types of Sound Quality.
- What is Auto Recordings?
- This options automatically starts to record all Calls (Incoming / outgoing calls), without any Pop-ups and intimations.
- What is ASK BEFORE SAVE?
- As the call recording is done, this option will ask with a Pop-up stating whether this conversation has to be saved or not.
- What is Display Record timer?
- At the time of conversation recording, this option shows Record timer on the
screen till the recording is completed.
- What is Display End of Call Summary?
- If it is kept as YES, this option shows the saved path of the particular conversation in particular location and if it is kept as NO, this option will save the conversation without showing the conversations saved path in the particular location on the screen of the phone.
- What is Auto start?
This option will enable the application to start automatically on device restart.
- What is copy to Gallery?
This option enables you to copy your recordings to the gallery files. By default, the files are stored in the log of the application.
- Can I Rename the saved recorded file?
- Yes, you can.
Go to à Log à select saved recorded file à select Option à Rename à Rename.
Installations
- I am being prompted to select “Memory Location” to install the application? Which one do I chose?
-You can select the Phone Memory
- Why should I install it in the Phone Memory?
-Because there is possibility of memory card getting corrupted
- What if the application uses all the space on my phone memory?
-The application will occupy less than 1 MB space of your phone memory.

- What format do I use for D.O.B?
You can use either hyphen (-) or Slash (/) format by using your D.O.B.

Features
- What is Create List?
This option enables you to create a Black List or a White List.
- What does a “Black List” do?
The Black List will include a set of contact numbers that may be added (as per your wish) whose calls won’t be answered. Everyone would be able to contact you except for those listed in the Black List.
- What is “White List”?
The White List will include a set of contact numbers that may be added (as per your wish) whose calls will be answered. No one would be able to contact you except for those listed in the White List.
- What is filter call?
This gives you options to reply to a call listed in the Black / White List in different ways.- Play voice msg.
- Send sms msg.
- Do Nothing.
- Reject Call.
- What is Filter SMS / MMS ?
This filter avoids the SMS or MMS from the Blacklisted numbers.
- What is Voice Msg Location?
The Voice msg location is a path which shows the stored recorded sound clip.
- What is Voice Msg File?
Voice msg file shows the location of the stored recorded sound clips for Play voice tag usage.
- What is View Log?
View Log option shows all the Incoming and Outgoing call details.
- Why should I enable smart reject sensor in settings?
Smart reject sensor in settings should be enabled so when you used Reject call option in Blacklist, it will automatically reject blacklisted numbers calls.
- What is Log Duration?
Log Duration maintains a log of incoming and outgoing calls saved as per the given duration / days.
- What is auto start and do I need to enable or disable this option?
You need to enable the Auto start option which will automatically start the Mobimate application as soon as the handset reboots.
Features
- What does Refresh Application mean?
If Refresh Application option is selected the application gets refreshed.
- What is Change Mode?
Change Mode option enables you to take a ‘backup’ or ‘restore’ on your phone from to the MobiCOPY server. i.e. GPRS OR SMS (in which GPRS is recommended)
- How will I know that I have registered the application?
On successfully registering the application, you will receive a message from the MobiCOPY server that you been allotted with a Username & Password and the option Register in the menu will disappears.
- How do I take a backup of my contacts using MobiCOPY?
You need to select the ‘Backup’ option to view the contacts backed up.
- What is MobiSecret?
MobiSecret is a registered application that Hides & Unhides the data thus allowing the user to keep his data private.
- How do I install MobiSecret?
You can directly take the file from the retailer onto your phone via Bluetooth or you can download the MOBISecret application through our online website i.e. www.onwardmobility.com onto your computer and then transfer it via PC Suite or directly download it on your mobile through GPRS.
- I have N79 and my retailer has transferred the file via Bluetooth and I see 2 files, which file should I install?
In this case you will need to install mobisecret.jad to start the application.
- I have a Sony Erricsson Phone, how will the file transfer work on my phone?
In case of Sony Erricsson, you will get mobisecret_jad & mobisecret_jar, you need to rename it to mobisecret.jar & mobisecret.jad, install mobisecret.jad to start the application.
- When I am trying to open the application (Mobisecret), it is continuously asking for permissions, what do I do?
There are certain pre settings that need to be done for various phones:
Incase of Symbian phones go to>> Application Manager>> Installed Files>> MobiSecret>> Settings>>Set Read User data & Write User data to “Always allowed”.
Java Phones go to Mobisecret>> options>>Application Access>> Set Read User data & Write User data to “Always allowed”.
In Sony Erricsson phones go to Mobisecret>> Options>>Permissions>> Customs>> Set Read User data & Write User data to “Never Ask”.
- Once I do the settings, do I need to Click on Hide data?
Yes, once you click on hide data, it will start the operation of hiding the data.
- What is Selective Holder hiding?
If you desire to hide only a particular folder, you can do so with this feature. Follow the path ’Select Folder’ >>Option >> Add Folder>>Mark/Unmark ‘Folder/Folders of your choice’>> Go back to Folder.
- If I want to change the password, how do I do?
In MobiSecret Menu option, there is an option to change the password.
